Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion thoughts...

I've been a huge St. Tropez fan for years. Their Self Tan Bronzing Mousse is 100% my go-to, number one, most highly recommended fake tan. I never get streaks, it always looks natural(or as natural as a fake tan can look), and I just think it's the best. So when I saw a few bloggers and YouTubers talking about their new In Shower Gradual Tan naturally, I was intrigued.

I have never really been a huge fan of gradual tan(which definitely stems from a terrible memory from the age of 13 when I used the Dove gradual tan, it went HORRIBLY WRONG and I had to go into P.E with streaky cheese puff legs, and the shame has never left me).

However, as opposed to most gradual tans, the St. Tropez one isn't in the moisturiser form- because let's face it, anyone who wants to waste their time waiting for a gradual tan moisturiser to soak in, in my opinion, is crazy. No, no, the clever people at St. Tropez have invented a gradual tan to use during your daily  shower routine.

I know that you are thinking this sounds crazy and will never work, mainly because I thought it too. But alas, my friends, that is exactly what it does. My views towards gradual tan have been changed forever.

So, to use this product you just go in for your shower(whatever time of the day- but just make sure you have a teeny bit of extra time) and you go about your usual shower business-wash your hair, shave your legs etc. Then, once you have done everything you want to do, you just step out of the shower(remember to turn the shower off though, because, well the environment needs you to), don't dry yourself, squeeze the product into your hand and then just slap that stuff all over your body-wherever you want a tan. *Remember to wash your hands once you've done so, you do not want  orange hands!*

Then you just wait for 3 minutes-I choose to listen to Taylor Swift to help pass the time- after that you just switch your shower back on, hop in, rinse it all off your body with warm water only and then once it's all washed off you just dry yourself gently and you're done. It is honestly as easy as that!

It took about 3 uses before I saw myself as being "tanned", but it was such a natural looking colour. I am incredibly pale, so a really dark immediate tan looks a bit silly on me, but this just gave my skin a lovely glow, made it look a bit healthier compared to its natural blue Scottish tone. I didn't even feel the need to put on fake tan before a night out! I tend to use it every other day though, as otherwise it would run out really quickly(you are using it on your whole body after all!).

I've found that the colour lasts really well, it didn't go that horrible orange way around my elbows/knees/ankles like most tans do and it hasn't gone streaky once! I think it really is the must have product of the summer! And although you have to wait for 3 minutes, naked and still wet from your shower(which I'm sure come Christmas time might not be fun) I would still take it any day to waiting for my proper fake tan to dry!

The only down side I have with this product is that for some reason I get more of a fake-tan smell than I normally do with my St. Tropez mousse, which is a bit weird. However, it doesn't last as long, it's usually gone by your next shower.

All in all, I would highly recommend this product! It really is great, does exactly what it says it will and is just really simple to use. If you are thinking of giving this a try but are scared you will have a similar incident to the one 13 year-old me had, don't worry, I believe that this product is pretty much foolproof as long as you stick to the 3 minutes and wash it all off.

I really think that you should try this product because it is genius!

I hope this review helped you if you were thinking of buying, or if this is the first you've heard of it, I hope you consider it because I have already bought 2 more bottles for back up! Let me know what your thoughts are!  And if you buy it, I hope you enjoy it!

Love,

They are here! They are finally here!

The official portraits from Princess Charlotte's Christening have been released today following this statement by Kensington Palace:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their whole family had a wonderful day on Sunday and were delighted to share the special occasion with the thousands of people who came to Sandringham. They are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them a much as they do."

On Sunday the 5th of July, Her Royal Highness, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was Christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, accompanied by her mother, father and adorable big brother, Prince George.

The service was officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev Justin Welby and the Local Reverend Jonathan Riviere. The guest list was very small, with only 21 guests including the 5 godparents, Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall and the Middleton family Carole, Michael, Pippa and James.

A notable absentee from the day's celebrations was Prince Harry who is currently on a 3 month trip to Africa, spending his time working as a wildlife ranger following his departure from the Armed Forces earlier this year.

The Christening was a very close, personal celebration, despite being surrounded by thousands of well-wishers, of whom the Royal Couple walked through with little George beside them and the little lady of the day, Princess Charlotte being pushed by Kate in an original 1950's Milson Pram, used by the Queen for Princes Andrew and Edward.

I think this made the occasion even more special for the public, as we were able to see our first glimpse of the family all together and were allowed to see a lot more than at Prince George's Christening in 2013 which took place at the Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace in London.

The whole occasion was just magical and the moments captured by world famous photographer Mario Testino- Princess Diana's favourite photographer and also a favourite of the Duke and  Duchess of Cambridge- are amazing! They give a small glimpse into the family life of the Royal Couple with their two beautiful children that we rarely get to see. Prince George is seriously just TOO CUTE TO HANDLE! And I'm sure his little sister will be exactly the same, she too is so very beautiful.  The photographs are personal and candid and just give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside when you see the love that  Kate and William have for their beautiful little family.

My favourite photographs are the three more personal ones with just Kate and William with their beautiful children, and more specifically the one in which Kate is holding Charlotte and just beaming with love and pride for her beautiful daughter. It just shows that wonderful bond between a Mother and her child and I think it is just a truly stunning moment.

I feel so happy that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released these photos and let us share in their special day, even the moments we got to see are filled with so much love, happiness and that personal touch that William and Kate add to everything!

I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did! It was such a beautiful day!

Hi everybody! Sorry it's been a while, I wish it were for some exotic reason but it was just due to working crazy hours. But I thought I would get back to it with the more "traditional" blog post and tell you a few of my favourite things from the month of June.

It's a bit of a mix of beauty and general things that I have been loving this month, and I hope it inspires you to give them a try too!

First up is my Schwarzkopf got2be 2 sexy Big Volume push up volumizing spray mousse. I actually picked this up because I thought it sounded cool and I alo have the hairspray to match which smells amazing, and I'm so glad I did! The weather in Glasgow has been soooo humid for the last few days and my hair has not been enjoying it! So, rather than using heat on my hair, I've been washing it, spraying on some mousse, braiding my hair and letting it dry naturally. The mousse really holds my hair well, without making it go crispy. I also love the fact that you spray it on because I hate using mousse and it makes you hands go all sticky! My hair has looked natural, effortless and I've had loads of nice comments about it. Plus, it's so worth it just for the smell, honestly, it's dreamy!

The second product up is the L'Oreal Paris Triple Active Night Cream. I am in love with this stuff(obviously, or it wouldn't be on this list)!
It does exactly what it's supposed to, it is super hydrating, soaks into your skin during the night and when you wake up in the morning it just leaves your skin feeling amazing! It agrees with my slightly oily skin, which is amazing because normally super hydrating moisturisers can make my skin feel greasy and cause breakouts. I absolutely love this and think it would be suitable for most skin types(however, if you have super oily skin, I'd maybe stay away-just in case!). I actually recommended this to my sister as, although she also has slightly oily skin, her skin was really dehydrated. Within a few days she said her skin felt so good and her makeup was sitting a lot better. We both agree that we LOVE this night cream and that it smells AMAZING! So that's two people loving it this month!

Next up are these Lasting Perfection Concealers by Rimmel London. I picked these up at the beginning of the month when I was having a bit of a skin nightmare and needed a slightly better lasting coverage than my foundation gives me, and I love them! I bought them in 2 colours( 010-porcelain and 020-ivory), I use the lighter under my eyes and the darker one on my blemishes and the work perfectly! They do exactly what I wanted them to and they make my makeup last so much longer and definitely give a more "flawless" look to my makeup. I apply them with a beauty sponge and blend them in together. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

For the last of the beauty products is this Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser. I bought this cleanser based on a review by my skin Goddess, Caroline Hirons. And as per usual, her advice was spot on! I love this cleanser! It's slightly pricier than your usual drugstore facial wash, but you get what you pay for and it's so worth it! This just leaves my skin feeling and looking really clean and healthy, without giving that tight-dry feeling that some face washes give. It has really helped with my oily skin and has definitely left my skin with a nice glow to it(note-not from excess oil, from healthiness). If this is within your budget, I would really recommend it, it's just an overall lovely product and is now a permanent fixture in my skincare routine!

Ok, so this is kind of a weird favourite that I will probably never be able to say again. However, I couldn't leave this out!

I GOT TO SEE TAYLOR SWIFT LIVE IN CONCERT AND IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!!!!

Honestly, I have been a HUGE Taylor Swift fan since I was 15 and have always dreamed of seeing her live! I couldn't get tickets when they went on sale for Glasgow and I was honestly heartbroken for months, then the day before the concert a girl on my facebook was selling spare tickets and it was the most amazing feeling ever! I really couldn't afford to buy them, but do you know what?! Sometimes, you just have to stop taking life so seriously and stop worrying about everything(which I am very guilty of) and just think, "I have dreamed of seeing this girl for nearly 8 years, she's one of my idols, she's here for one night and I am NOT missing this!".

And I am telling you friends, she was worth every single penny and every minute of those past  eight years waiting to see her. Her voice was incredible, the show was amazing and my dreams were made! I don't think you could wish for a better tuesday night! I am just so grateful that I had that opportunity and just wish that everyone had the chance to see their idols. I've been so blessed to see quite a few of mine. I can't stop listening to her music, even the very first album and just enjoying life! So thank you Taylor, for just being you!

Last up on this months favourites is my ultimate tv show of June, which is Entourage(this picture is actually from the movie that I haven't seen yet), that has now been added to NowTV in the run up to the release of the movie this month. I originally only wanted to watched it as Jeremy Piven is a main character, and as my future husband I obviously needed to see the  show(ahaha one can only dream!), but I have become HOOKED! I'm really late to the game as the show actually finished years ago, but honestly, it's so worth the watch! It's just a really easy going, fun show! It gives you an insight into the world of being a leading actor in Hollywood and there is at least 1 celeb in every episode! Definitely one of those cool shows to stick on when you just want to chill and have a laugh! I highly recommend it!

So, that's it for my June Favourites! I hope you enjoyed them and perhaps intrigued you enough to try some of them out!

Let me know if you enjoyed it and what your favourite things were in the month of June!

Thanks for giving this a ready! See you soon and have a great July!!

Love,
