Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion thoughts...

Hi guys!
Happy Easter!!
Sorry if you don't celebrate Easter, but wishing you happy thoughts anyway!

So this weekend was Easter weekend and it is literally one of my favourite times of the year(except Christmas obviously!) because it means I have finished lent and can finally enjoy all of the Easter chocolate and also because it means that I am getting to enjoy the time with my favourite people in the world!

This little post is just a selection of my favourite photos from my family Easter Sunday celebrations, I thought I'd share them with you all!

Every easter my Mum makes the most amazing roast lunch/dinner and my family and I act like we are children again and paint eggs, do easter egg hunts, play games and just generally have all the fun!
Who wouldn't want to do that?!

This year was made even more special because my best friend, who moved to Australia in August to do some travelling, surprised me two weeks ago by turning up at my door unannounced.
Now, of course this is extremely exciting anyway(and I'm not gonna lie, I definitely ugly cried and just about passed out when I saw her), but not having her here for Easter was really getting me down because we are a wee team and she already missed out on our Christmas celebrations, I couldn't believe she wouldn't be here to help win the annual Easter Egg Hunt! So this year I was just so grateful for everyone being there and us all enjoying it together. And legit, one of the first things she actually said when she walked through my door was "I'm gonna be here for Easter!".

Anyway, I think any occasion like this is just fun to celebrate and be around your loved ones, catching up and just having a really good time. Also, you cannot fault Easter chocolate, it's the best thing ever! Which is why I chose to make a selection of tasty Easter treats using some of the best Easter chocolates!

I made some Creme Egg "Scotch Eggs" which are literally the most chocolatey things you will ever eat! I could only eat one half at a time!

I also made some chocolate cornflake Easter nests, some chewy Easter Rice Crispy Bars with Smarties and Creme Egg Rocky Road. They were all so delicious and I feel that I have totally overdosed on chocolate, but it was so worth it!

I hope everyone had the best weekend ever, whatever way you chose to spend it!
(I also hope those of you that took part in them, won your Easter Egg Hunts! Erin and I were the champions for the second year running-yaaass! Below is me showing my pride for our achievement!)

Let me know what you got up to and how you like to spend your Easter and if you baked anything fun! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you all have a great week!

Love,

Hi Guys!
I'm back again with a little "outfit of the day/face of the day" post!
I thought since I had sucked at blogging for the last 3/4 months I should start trying to get more posts up to make up for it!

Today's look is a pretty casual one, but I'm just having one of those laid back, life sorting days off work, so I was pretty chilled with my outfit choice. I don't have much to do apart from running errands and just being a boring old adult!

I love this look, I think this is one of those outfits that's pretty casual yet, doesn't look like you've just rolled out of bed and made no effort at all. It's pretty much my go-to outfit choice on my days off.
I've tucked my t-shirt into my high waisted Joni jeans. The t-shirt(because you can't see in the photographs) is just a basic tee but it has embellished edges at the arms, which I think just gives it a slightly dressier feel. I tucked the t-shirt in just because it actually has slits up the side(which for the life of me, I cannot understand why this has become a thing), and its the only thing I don't like about it, so tucking it in just solves that little issue! It is a very Spring-like day today but it's still chilly out there which is why I stuck on my scarf before I left. Ive rolled up the legs of my jeans a little and just paired them with my favourite/comfiest trainers.

What I'm wearing

Pieces Denim Jacket from ASOS

White Puma Trainers

Topshop Tall Joni Jeans

Kate Spade NY Handbag
(the closest I could find to my own)

T-shirt from Primark(They don't have an online store)

I've also done a few close ups of my makeup because this is what I wear on a day-to-day basis. Again, like the outfit, it's a pretty casual/natural look. I like to wear this kind of look because I don't want to look overdone when I'm just doing a food shop or going to the bank, but I also don't want to look like a troll with nothing on my face! You never know who you might run in to! So I just stick with pretty neutral colours for everything with just a little flick of liquid liner, some shimmery pinks along the crease of my eyelid and a few coats of mascara. I also like to nourish my lips in the cold weather so I just have some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream(my all time favourite beauty product) and nothing else on my lips.

To my hair I just added a few curls randomly and some salt spray to save myself from my embarrassing bed hair! It's still a pretty relaxed look but just not as tragic as it was when I woke up!

On My Face I'm Wearing

Vichy Dermablend Foundation

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

RCMA No Colour Powder

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher

Rimmel Bronzer

Makeup Revolution Salvation Eyeshadow Palette

Bourjois Liner Feutre

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Elizabeth Arden 8-Hour Cream

I hope everyone has a lovely day, and a lovely week for that matter!
I hope you enjoyed this random OOTD/FOTD post, I actually enjoyed doing something a little bit different. And I'm going to try to really stick to the regular blogging thing! I really have missed it so much, so I'll need to start thinking of lots of fun things to do!

Thank you so much for stopping by, let me know if you enjoyed this kind of post!
See you all very soon!

Hi Guys!
So this post is probably not gonna be one for everybody(like my best friend who will not appreciate it in any way-soz babes!), but if you've read a few of my posts you will probably know that I absolutely love the British Royal Family and I especially love HRH The Duchess of Cambridge(a.k.a, Kate Middleton) and have done for a very long time!
So, if you don't like the Royal Family then I'm gonna say this probably won't float your boat.

Great, now we have that little disclaimer out of the way, let's get on to the reason we're here.

So, like I said, I'm a huge fan of the Royal Family. I've loved Kate since she was just the future King's girlfriend at a little university an hour and a bit along the road from Glasgow. Therefore, naturally I get very excited when anything new is released about our wonderful young royals and this week were were unexpectedly given access to The Cambridge's first holiday away as a family of four!

I cannot tell you how excited this actually makes me, getting new pictures of them any time is very exciting, but since we've only had a few glimpses of beautiful little Princess Charlotte it makes it even more special!

I mean, come on! Look at those little faces!!! And Prince George's little bobble hat!! How can you not love them! Princess Charlotte is so unbelievably cute in that little snow suit! I just can't deal with it!

The photographs were released yesterday, a few days after the family got back from their holiday, which I actually think was a lovely idea. I know people get annoyed at them not wanting to be in the public eye, but I think it's nice that, whilst their kids are young, they are trying to give them as normal a life as humanly possible. I know it's an extremely privileged life, I'm sure they'd be the first to admit that, but it is also one that none of them were asked to be born in to. So I think that it's nice that they invited only one member of the Press Association to take a few photographs, it made the photographs so much more personal and human as opposed to staged ones with fake smiles. Their staggered release also means that the family weren't then hunted down by the press who would have inevitably swarmed them and ruined their time away.

These photographs are so personal, so beautiful and just make me love them even more! I love how natural all the photographs released by the Duke and Duchess have been recently, it really does add a personal touch. And like I said, it makes them all the more human!

I love this photograph! Princess Charlotte is so like Prince George! And her two little bottom teeth? Too much to handle!

These photographs of William and Kate are just so lovely! I love seeing them like this, so happy and relaxed, it's such a beautiful thing to see them so happy! They just bring such a breath of fresh air to the Monarchy! I think it is so nice to see that they can have fun in official photographs and that they clearly love one another and enjoy each others company.

I don't know how you couldn't love seeing photographs like that, they genuinely make me so happy!

This was the statement made by the The British Monarchy Facebook Page along with the photographs this morning:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share these new photographs of their family, enjoying a skiing holiday with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the French Alps.
The Duke and Duchess invited the Press Association's Royal Photographer John Stillwell to take the photographs earlier in the week.
This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children have played in the snow. It was very special and a fun short holiday for the family and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well."

I think statement is just so sweet, it's lovely to think of these little kids, just doing what every normal child loves to do, go out running around, playing in the snow(I still love doing that and I'm 23!).

These were just such a lovely surprise this morning and I enjoyed them so much, they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside with the cuteness overload! I also love how flawless Kate manages to look in freezing temperatures and in what should be the most unflattering clothes(they certainly would not look that good on me!). I also love how grown up little Prince George is now! He is just so cute that it hurts! I can't deal with his little hair and that bobble hat!!!

So, yeah. This was just a nice little surprise and I wanted to post about it because I love to post about this gorgeous little family! And it is also very nice to wake up and see this on the news, it makes a change from some of the things you wake up to read in the news.

I love them so much and things like this just make me feel happy! So I hope they made you feel happy too!

Love,

Hi guys!

I'm back! I haven't blogged in SO LONG and I've missed it so much!
I don't know what happened, but I got totally out of the swing of it and then couldn't find the time to do anything.
But I missed blogging so much that I don't want to be doing that again!

Anyway, enough with the babbling... I can't believe that it's March already!
This year is flying by so fast! It's crazy!

I have quite a few favourites this month, I've recently been going a bit crazy, buying so much makeup and spending money like I'm a millionaire, but it's totally worth it!

I have linked all of my favourites so you can find them online, just click on the names of each one!

First up this month is probably one of my top favourites. It's the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette.

I loooove this bad boy! It is so beautiful, really well pigmented and the colours are just so lovely!

I haven't used anything else all month, it's just so gorgeous! It's a warm toned palette with a few matte colours along with some stunning shimmers. It just feels so soft and creamy, really blendable. I just can't get enough of it, I'm so impressed with this palette and it is so affordable. It's only £15.50 from beautybay.com which for the quality of the product is actually unbelievable. Honestly I cannot recommend this product enough!

Next up, which actually goes really well with the Cocoa Blend Palette, is the Zoeva Eyeshadow Fix.

I actually bought the Pearl version of this, but I can't seem to find that in stock anywhere. I've never really been in to primers, never really understood the point, I've now obviously changed that view and I really like this product. It stops my shadows from creasing, gives me a much longer wear out of them and I also finds that it brings out the pigment better in comparison to not using a primer.

Again, this is so reasonably priced that I would definitely recommend giving it a try, it only cost me £6! I usually have my makeup on during a working day for about 14 hours and this stuff  doesn't let my eye makeup budge!

Next thing that I have been absolutely loving the RCMA No Colour Powder, which is slowly but surely blowing up big time.

I had never heard of it before and then all of a sudden I'm seeing it everywhere. I first heard about it whilst watching a Kathleen Lights YouTube video and waited a good while for it to come back in stock but it was totally worth the wait! I really love this product, it's no frills, does exactly what it says on the tin kind of makeup and I think that's really the best thing about it  because it's all about the product and the product is pretty damn good! This powder genuinely has no colour, which is great because it means it just sets your makeup without adding anything else to it or without altering the colour.  It also means that any colour of skin tone can use this product, which I think is amazing. It sets my makeup and keeps it in place all day and it sets my under eye concealer perfectly! It's the only powder that I've found so far that minimises the creasing under my eyes. It's also SO reasonably priced! I bought the 3oz bottle and that cost me £8.95 and I can totally deal with that in my life! It's worth 3 times that price in my opinion! If you can get your hands on it, I would totally recommend it!

Next is another extreeeemely reasonably priced product. It's the Makeup Revolution "What are you waiting for?" Salvation Eyeshadow Palette.

I am slowly falling in love with this brand, this palette only cost £4 from Superdrug, and for the price, I think it is really, really good! Obviously it is never going to be as amazing as the higher end eyeshadows because you do pay for a better product.

However, I wouldn't say that these eyeshadows are only worth £4, I think they are really pretty darn snazzy! This is the second palette that I have bought from this range and I have loved them both. There are some really beautiful pinky/Champagne colours that are just so beautiful if you want a change from a smoky eye or are just looking for a fresher makeup look. The shimmer in them is great and I used this a lot at the start of the month and it was just a really nice, subtle eye look that I could create and I loved it. There are also some really dark, plum toned colours which would be fantastic for brown eyes to really bring out their colour. I think this brand is great for anyone but really great for people that perhaps can't afford to spend a lot on makeup. It shows that the high street brands have really stepped up their game and this brand is extremely affordable, I can't wait to try out more! It's keeping my makeup obsession at a reasonably guilt-free level-winning!

My last makeup favourite has only been in my life for about a week, but I am already obsessed with it! It's the L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist, which you use after you've put your makeup on to set it.

Now, just like primers, I've always doubted fixing mists and setting sprays because I thought they were just a novelty type product. Boy was I wrong. I am obsessed with this, honestly, I cannot believe it has taken me this long to see the error of my ways! I can't go a day without this now. It sets my makeup so well, without altering the look of it in any way! And it's really been put to the test as I usually work for about 8-10 hours at least a day, running around serving people and I've had my makeup on for maybe 14 hours and its still perfect all those hours later, when usually my foundation has started to wear off. It keeps my oily skin reigned in too! I would say though, that I've learned the hard way, use it BEFORE you put on your mascara if you don't want to look like a panda. I mean, pandas are super cute, but I don't want to look like one! So I do everything but my mascara, then I spray my face all over, leave it to dry in, the put my mascara on and its perfect! Honestly, I can't get enough of it, go buy it now, it's only £7.99!

Moving on from makeup and onto hair. I recently had my hair cut suuuper short(for me anyway)- into long bob(or "lob" if you will), and I have a kind of natural wave to my hair but it needs a little help to look the way I want it to. So I bought the V05 Give Me Texture Salt Spray(which I actually bought from Superdrug but Asda was cheaper), just to see if it would give me the texture I was looking for, and I really like it!

I am a bit wary of salt sprays because I've had a few disasters in my youth with them-but then who doesn't have bad beauty moments ya know?! But I've learned from my mistakes and don't use a whole bottle at a time, it definitely needs to be used sparingly! I just spray it on to my towel dried hair(after my serum), and them let it dry naturally to about 80% dry, then I blast it with my hair dryer to give me a little bit of volume. I now can't go a hair washing day without it, it just gives me the exact look that I want, perfect for shorter hair(maybe long if your hair is in a good condition, it can be very drying).
It also smells reeeallly nice and fresh, which I love because sometimes I use it on my dry hair just after I've curled it to give my hair a more relaxed/beachy look to it and it really freshens my hair up and gives it a nice clean scent, which is always nice!

My last February Favourite has to be the YouTuber Kathleen Lights. I only just discovered her a few months ago and I think she is amazing!

She has actually inspired quite a few purchases over the past couple of months and I love her for it! I just think she seems really lovely, down to earth and I can easily watch four or five of her videos at a time and not get sick of her(which is a true sign of love for me).

I think her sense of of humour is just really similar to my own and we have very similar tastes in makeup so I just enjoy watching her videos, plus she is very honest about things she likes and dislikes so you can trust her which I think is really important. Also, I can't stop looking at her flawless skin!

I just think she is an amazingly beautiful looking woman and I cannot get enough of her videos! So glad I came across her one day! Go subscribe to her if you love makeup!

Well, that's everything that I was really loving throughout February. There were a few other things, but I didn't want to make this list too long, so I just put in the best of a great bunch!
Did you have any of these favourites on your list this month? Please let me know what things you have been loving, I always want to try out new products, YouTubers, tv shows, movies, anything you love!

I'm wishing everyone the best March ever! I hope it is full of all sorts of fun things for you all!

Love,
