Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion thoughts...

I cannot believe that it is actually time for my August favourites already!!

Where has the summer gone?! I feel like I blinked and missed it!

Summer is over and it's now time to welcome in the darker evenings, the autumn chill and berry coloured lipsticks!
But just before we do this, I'm going to round up my favourite things from the month of August!

This month is definitely a random mix of everything. As the month went I by so fast, I feel I can't even remember it beginning, so it's not the lengthiest list, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

First up is what has to be one of the best mascaras I have tried for a very long time! It's the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara which I used in my last blog post.

If you have shorter eyelashes, then this mascara could give you the long lashes you desire! I can't believe how dramatic it makes my lashes look and every time I have used it, someone has either asked me if I'm wearing false lashes or which mascara I have on. Even my mum didn't believe me when I said I wasn't wearing falsies!
It's just a really great product and it also really easy to take off... I would almost compare it to Benefit They're Real Mascara(without the nightmare effort to remove it at the end of the day!). It's super lengthening and it does an ok job of giving a little volume boost. I would definitely recommend trying this bad boy out!

Next up is my new Topshop nail polish in "Caught Your Eye".

I am really loving Topshop Beauty at the moment. I just think it's really good quality for the price! Everything I have bought from the range I have absolutely loved. And this nail polish is no different. It was really quick drying and only took a few coats to get a really strong colour. I've had loads of compliment from it and it's a really nice, fresh colour. I'm getting as much use out of it just now while it's still appropriate(it's definitely more of a summer colour!). I'm very happy with this purchase! I will definitely be spending more time trying out the Topshop range!

My next favourite I only bought a few days ago, but I'm absolutely in love with it! I picked this up from Home Bargains(of all places).

It's a plastic makeup organiser and it's probably the best £5 I have ever spent! I can't find a link for this, but I think you can get ones similar on the internet. This has totally changed my morning makeup routine!! It is so much simpler now because everything I use on a daily basis is just there for me to use and I can find everything so much easier! If you are like myself and have a crazy amount of makeup, I would highly recommend investing in a few of these, they are perfect!

The next favourite is quite a random one, and you will probably think I'm really weird, but hear me out! It's the Cien Cotton pads from Lidl.

I know, now you think I'm weird. But these are genuinely the best cotton pads I have ever used! They are thick enough that you don't use too much product on them, they don't fall apart at all and they don't go all that soggy/horrible way when you are taking off your makeup. Another bonus to them not falling apart is that when you are taking off your mascara they don't catch in it, giving your eyelashes a santa beard!
So, if you are ever near a Lidl, go in for these! That's all I buy from there and it's totally worth the trek to one!

My last kind of physical favourite are these little copper tealight holders which are also from Home Bargains.

I'm not sure if they are available in them all but they are only 89p each which I think is an absolute steal! They are super cute and look really nice! Plus, they are copper so who wouldn't love them! I am very happy with this little purchase!

Now onto the more random favourites!

First up is The Great British Bake Off! I am so glad this is back in my life! I love this programme a little too much! If I haven't caught up on it, I wont let anyone talk to me about it. Last year I found out who had won before I got a chance to watch it and I'm still upset about it! I don't know how anyone could dislike this show! You learn so much and get so many baking tips! Plus, Mary Berry- need I say more?! If you can get this, you should 100% watch it, who knew baking could be so intense?

Next up is an app which I have loved for a very long time but had forgotten about it. It's from the website calm.com and it's basically a relaxation/meditation app.

It's all about just taking a few minutes out of your day to relax and rest your mind. I know a lot of people are slightly sceptical about meditation and think that it's just hippies with flowers in there hair that believe in it, but i really is a powerful thing. I wish I used this app more religiously because I feel a huge difference in my mental state when I do.I wouldn't say I suffer from extreme anxiety but I do go through anxious periods(which can range from days to weeks o months)where I really struggle to deal with things, I can't sleep or feel at peace and I find using this app every day really helps me to put things into perspective and help me deal with situations. I recommend this to everyone because I really think everyone could benefit from it. I think it's important to not only look after your physical health but also your mental health and this really does help. Please give it a try, especially if you suffer from any kind of anxiety, I think it could really help out.

Last up is probably my ultimate favourite for this month! Disney's live action Cinderella has just been released on DVD and Blu-Ray and if you haven't seen then you need to get on that RIGHT NOW!

I fell absolutely head-over-heels in love with this when I went to see it in the cinema! I think it is just perfect! Lily James is just absolutely stunning! She is the perfect Cinderella and Richard Madden is the perfect Prince Charming or "Kit". This is just the perfect Disney film that I can just lose myself in and enter the fluffy world of Disney!
All the Cinderalla photographs do not belong to me, I found them on Google Images and the photo credits go to fanpop.com and wayfaringwriter.com and all rights for the film go to Disney of course.

I cannot describe my love for it! Its fast becoming one of my favourite Disney films(which is a very bold statement)! If the live action Beauty and the Beast(my favourite movie of all time!) is anywhere near as good as this I will be one happy bunny!
My favourite scene is when Ella and Kit are dancing and she says,
"everyone is looking at you"
and Kit says to her,
"Believe me, they are all looking at you"
It is just perfect!!!
The film has such a lovely message, it just gives you all the perfect Disney feels, about being yourself and to
 "Have courage and be kind".

So that's it for my August favourites! I hope you enjoyed them! Let me know all the things you've been loving this month, or if any of my favourites were the same as yours. And here's to a wonderful September! I hope it's a wonderful month for all of you! I'm so excited for Autumn!!

Love,

As summer is drawing to a close, I decided I should do a post for my favourite makeup look of the summer. I was watching/listening to too many Taylor Swift videos and songs and decided that I wanted to try and rock "red lips and rosy cheeks" like Taylor for a while.

However, most of my red lipsticks are very dark and definitely more suited for Autumn/Winter and then I came across "Rio Rio" in the Topshop makeup line and I instantly fell in love!

This lipstick is the PERFECT summer red, it is orange based but it doesn't make your teeth look yellow. It would suit pretty much any skin tone and just has such a soft, creamy texture...
I couldn't not do a post about this bad boy!

Naturally, it has become a staple in my makeup bag this summer, so I decided to show you how I wear it and hopefully you can try it out for the last few weeks of summer fun!

Firstly here are the products I used on my face- I do have quite problematic skin as you will see in a second so I do wear a heavy coverage on my face, if you are blessed with beautiful skin don't cover it up, maybe just stick to the lighter foundations you lucky devil!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Vanilla 52
Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation in 15 Opal
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Rimmel London Natural Bronzer
Revlon Highlighting Palette
MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle

You are about to see my makeup-less face, which is very difficult for me to put out to the internet but I wanted you to see how well my foundation set-up works for those of you that also have pretty problematic skin. I hope this might help a few of you with that too!

Firstly I made sure I had cleansed my face and moisturised to give myself a clean base.
I then used the Bourjois Healthy Mix to even out my skin tone and to give my whole face a nice healthy glow and coverage.

After the Healthy Mix Foundation, I used my Vichy Dermablend over the problematic areas of my face to give these areas a higher coverage. I like to do this as it means the areas of my face which are pretty clear and healthy don't get covered in the thicker foundation and it gives a less "caked on" look. I blend the Vichy foundation in with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to give this area an even higher coverage.

As you can see the second foundation gives me a much higher coverage than the just using the first foundation. I now leave the foundation to work with the temperature of my skin and move on to the eyebrows.  Apologies if these photographs make the base look orange, I was using natural light with these photographs and before the makeup was finished it made me look a little like an Oompa Loompa-but I promise I didn't actually look like that!

Next up I started on the eye makeup. Below is a list of the products I used(there was also an eyeshadow palette that is no longer available but I'll try to like the colours or something similar)

MAC Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Honey Lust
Topshop Waterproof Liner in Ebony
Bourjois Feutre Eyeliner Noir Black
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Chase
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in Very Black 1

With the eyes I started by putting "Honey Lust" all over the lid and then just blended it upwards towards the crease. I then used "Chase" throughout the crease on a fluffy brush and blended that across towards the outer corner of the eye making sure it was blended properly and repeated this again to give the soft blended look that I wanted.

Now come the tricky part! The liquid liner!
Liquid liner and I are only just becoming friends, for my everyday makeup I usually use a black eyeshadow and an angled brush to line my eyes, but practice makes perfect so don't stress about it too much! That's why cotton buds are your best friend! I always start from the outside corner and line upwards to map out my flick. I then work back on myself until I'm happy with it, it does take time but it is totally worth it!
Once I've got both eyes lined to perfection(ahaha if only!), I use the waterproof Topshop liner along my waterline just to bring it together.

After the majority of the eye makeup is done and there is no risk of falldown from my shadow(I find Urban Decay shadows can be quite bad for this), I continue with the rest of my base. I use the Rimmel Lasting finish in two shades, a lighter one for under my eyes and a slightly darker one for the rest of my face.
I put a good amount of coverage under my eyes and also on the sides of my face/cheeks(where my skin is most problematic), and on any other areas that might need a little extra coverage. I blend this with another Real Techniques sponge until it has worked into the foundation.
Then I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer under my eyes and around the corners of my nose to bring all of it together and to give a more flawless base.

After everything has had time to settle I powder my entire face to set it all. I then use my bronzer to bring it to life a little, blending it in the hollows of my cheeks, across the forehead and a little on the temples, down the nose and under the jawline. This just gives my face a little bit more definition. I then use whatever product is left on my fluffy eyeshadow brush and just blend that under my eyes to soften the look a little.

After all that I use my MAC highlighter down my cheekbones, down my nose, on my cupids bow and across the brow bone. Then a little sweep of the Revlon Blush to give that nice summer glow to the skin.
Then it's on with the mascara and all that is left is the whole reason this look was created!

Below are the two lip products used.
Topshop Lip Liner in Wheels on Fire
Topshop Lips in Rio Rio

(All the product photographs are slightly dark because they were taken at nighttime and I didn't have good lighting-apologies!!)

With the lip I just used the liner to give my lips a bit of shape and to make them look fuller. I find it also helps to use a lip liner when doing a red lip as it helps the lipstick stay in place and it makes it easier for you to keep it looking sharp.
Next I put on the lipstick, blot it, and then repeat this a few times until the colour is as strong as I want it. It is important to blot lipstick(especially a red one) as it helps build it up which will give it a lot more staying power and it will stop the lipstick from bleeding or from transferring onto glasses, etc.
This lipstick is so nice on the lips and has a really good colour. It also doesn't dry out as much as most lipsticks do when they have been on for a while. It's very nourishing, which is amazing considering it's only £8.00!!!
Bravo Topshop!

So there you have the finished look! I hope you like this and I also hope it has inspired you to release your inner Swift and rock the red lip look for the rest of summer!
Please let me know what you thought of it or if you have any questions about the look or the products used!
Also congrats for getting to the end of this, I know there are a lot of pictures but I wanted to make sure I could give an accurate-ish account of every stage of the look!

Love,

I've been a huge St. Tropez fan for years. Their Self Tan Bronzing Mousse is 100% my go-to, number one, most highly recommended fake tan. I never get streaks, it always looks natural(or as natural as a fake tan can look), and I just think it's the best. So when I saw a few bloggers and YouTubers talking about their new In Shower Gradual Tan naturally, I was intrigued.

I have never really been a huge fan of gradual tan(which definitely stems from a terrible memory from the age of 13 when I used the Dove gradual tan, it went HORRIBLY WRONG and I had to go into P.E with streaky cheese puff legs, and the shame has never left me).

However, as opposed to most gradual tans, the St. Tropez one isn't in the moisturiser form- because let's face it, anyone who wants to waste their time waiting for a gradual tan moisturiser to soak in, in my opinion, is crazy. No, no, the clever people at St. Tropez have invented a gradual tan to use during your daily  shower routine.

I know that you are thinking this sounds crazy and will never work, mainly because I thought it too. But alas, my friends, that is exactly what it does. My views towards gradual tan have been changed forever.

So, to use this product you just go in for your shower(whatever time of the day- but just make sure you have a teeny bit of extra time) and you go about your usual shower business-wash your hair, shave your legs etc. Then, once you have done everything you want to do, you just step out of the shower(remember to turn the shower off though, because, well the environment needs you to), don't dry yourself, squeeze the product into your hand and then just slap that stuff all over your body-wherever you want a tan. *Remember to wash your hands once you've done so, you do not want  orange hands!*

Then you just wait for 3 minutes-I choose to listen to Taylor Swift to help pass the time- after that you just switch your shower back on, hop in, rinse it all off your body with warm water only and then once it's all washed off you just dry yourself gently and you're done. It is honestly as easy as that!

It took about 3 uses before I saw myself as being "tanned", but it was such a natural looking colour. I am incredibly pale, so a really dark immediate tan looks a bit silly on me, but this just gave my skin a lovely glow, made it look a bit healthier compared to its natural blue Scottish tone. I didn't even feel the need to put on fake tan before a night out! I tend to use it every other day though, as otherwise it would run out really quickly(you are using it on your whole body after all!).

I've found that the colour lasts really well, it didn't go that horrible orange way around my elbows/knees/ankles like most tans do and it hasn't gone streaky once! I think it really is the must have product of the summer! And although you have to wait for 3 minutes, naked and still wet from your shower(which I'm sure come Christmas time might not be fun) I would still take it any day to waiting for my proper fake tan to dry!

The only down side I have with this product is that for some reason I get more of a fake-tan smell than I normally do with my St. Tropez mousse, which is a bit weird. However, it doesn't last as long, it's usually gone by your next shower.

All in all, I would highly recommend this product! It really is great, does exactly what it says it will and is just really simple to use. If you are thinking of giving this a try but are scared you will have a similar incident to the one 13 year-old me had, don't worry, I believe that this product is pretty much foolproof as long as you stick to the 3 minutes and wash it all off.

I really think that you should try this product because it is genius!

I hope this review helped you if you were thinking of buying, or if this is the first you've heard of it, I hope you consider it because I have already bought 2 more bottles for back up! Let me know what your thoughts are!  And if you buy it, I hope you enjoy it!

They are here! They are finally here!

The official portraits from Princess Charlotte's Christening have been released today following this statement by Kensington Palace:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their whole family had a wonderful day on Sunday and were delighted to share the special occasion with the thousands of people who came to Sandringham. They are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them a much as they do."

On Sunday the 5th of July, Her Royal Highness, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was Christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, accompanied by her mother, father and adorable big brother, Prince George.

The service was officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev Justin Welby and the Local Reverend Jonathan Riviere. The guest list was very small, with only 21 guests including the 5 godparents, Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall and the Middleton family Carole, Michael, Pippa and James.

A notable absentee from the day's celebrations was Prince Harry who is currently on a 3 month trip to Africa, spending his time working as a wildlife ranger following his departure from the Armed Forces earlier this year.

The Christening was a very close, personal celebration, despite being surrounded by thousands of well-wishers, of whom the Royal Couple walked through with little George beside them and the little lady of the day, Princess Charlotte being pushed by Kate in an original 1950's Milson Pram, used by the Queen for Princes Andrew and Edward.

I think this made the occasion even more special for the public, as we were able to see our first glimpse of the family all together and were allowed to see a lot more than at Prince George's Christening in 2013 which took place at the Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace in London.

The whole occasion was just magical and the moments captured by world famous photographer Mario Testino- Princess Diana's favourite photographer and also a favourite of the Duke and  Duchess of Cambridge- are amazing! They give a small glimpse into the family life of the Royal Couple with their two beautiful children that we rarely get to see. Prince George is seriously just TOO CUTE TO HANDLE! And I'm sure his little sister will be exactly the same, she too is so very beautiful.  The photographs are personal and candid and just give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside when you see the love that  Kate and William have for their beautiful little family.

My favourite photographs are the three more personal ones with just Kate and William with their beautiful children, and more specifically the one in which Kate is holding Charlotte and just beaming with love and pride for her beautiful daughter. It just shows that wonderful bond between a Mother and her child and I think it is just a truly stunning moment.

I feel so happy that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released these photos and let us share in their special day, even the moments we got to see are filled with so much love, happiness and that personal touch that William and Kate add to everything!

I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did! It was such a beautiful day!

Love,

Hi everybody! Sorry it's been a while, I wish it were for some exotic reason but it was just due to working crazy hours. But I thought I would get back to it with the more "traditional" blog post and tell you a few of my favourite things from the month of June.

It's a bit of a mix of beauty and general things that I have been loving this month, and I hope it inspires you to give them a try too!

First up is my Schwarzkopf got2be 2 sexy Big Volume push up volumizing spray mousse. I actually picked this up because I thought it sounded cool and I alo have the hairspray to match which smells amazing, and I'm so glad I did! The weather in Glasgow has been soooo humid for the last few days and my hair has not been enjoying it! So, rather than using heat on my hair, I've been washing it, spraying on some mousse, braiding my hair and letting it dry naturally. The mousse really holds my hair well, without making it go crispy. I also love the fact that you spray it on because I hate using mousse and it makes you hands go all sticky! My hair has looked natural, effortless and I've had loads of nice comments about it. Plus, it's so worth it just for the smell, honestly, it's dreamy!

The second product up is the L'Oreal Paris Triple Active Night Cream. I am in love with this stuff(obviously, or it wouldn't be on this list)!
It does exactly what it's supposed to, it is super hydrating, soaks into your skin during the night and when you wake up in the morning it just leaves your skin feeling amazing! It agrees with my slightly oily skin, which is amazing because normally super hydrating moisturisers can make my skin feel greasy and cause breakouts. I absolutely love this and think it would be suitable for most skin types(however, if you have super oily skin, I'd maybe stay away-just in case!). I actually recommended this to my sister as, although she also has slightly oily skin, her skin was really dehydrated. Within a few days she said her skin felt so good and her makeup was sitting a lot better. We both agree that we LOVE this night cream and that it smells AMAZING! So that's two people loving it this month!

Next up are these Lasting Perfection Concealers by Rimmel London. I picked these up at the beginning of the month when I was having a bit of a skin nightmare and needed a slightly better lasting coverage than my foundation gives me, and I love them! I bought them in 2 colours( 010-porcelain and 020-ivory), I use the lighter under my eyes and the darker one on my blemishes and the work perfectly! They do exactly what I wanted them to and they make my makeup last so much longer and definitely give a more "flawless" look to my makeup. I apply them with a beauty sponge and blend them in together. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

For the last of the beauty products is this Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser. I bought this cleanser based on a review by my skin Goddess, Caroline Hirons. And as per usual, her advice was spot on! I love this cleanser! It's slightly pricier than your usual drugstore facial wash, but you get what you pay for and it's so worth it! This just leaves my skin feeling and looking really clean and healthy, without giving that tight-dry feeling that some face washes give. It has really helped with my oily skin and has definitely left my skin with a nice glow to it(note-not from excess oil, from healthiness). If this is within your budget, I would really recommend it, it's just an overall lovely product and is now a permanent fixture in my skincare routine!

Ok, so this is kind of a weird favourite that I will probably never be able to say again. However, I couldn't leave this out!

I GOT TO SEE TAYLOR SWIFT LIVE IN CONCERT AND IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!!!!

Honestly, I have been a HUGE Taylor Swift fan since I was 15 and have always dreamed of seeing her live! I couldn't get tickets when they went on sale for Glasgow and I was honestly heartbroken for months, then the day before the concert a girl on my facebook was selling spare tickets and it was the most amazing feeling ever! I really couldn't afford to buy them, but do you know what?! Sometimes, you just have to stop taking life so seriously and stop worrying about everything(which I am very guilty of) and just think, "I have dreamed of seeing this girl for nearly 8 years, she's one of my idols, she's here for one night and I am NOT missing this!".

And I am telling you friends, she was worth every single penny and every minute of those past  eight years waiting to see her. Her voice was incredible, the show was amazing and my dreams were made! I don't think you could wish for a better tuesday night! I am just so grateful that I had that opportunity and just wish that everyone had the chance to see their idols. I've been so blessed to see quite a few of mine. I can't stop listening to her music, even the very first album and just enjoying life! So thank you Taylor, for just being you!

Last up on this months favourites is my ultimate tv show of June, which is Entourage(this picture is actually from the movie that I haven't seen yet), that has now been added to NowTV in the run up to the release of the movie this month. I originally only wanted to watched it as Jeremy Piven is a main character, and as my future husband I obviously needed to see the  show(ahaha one can only dream!), but I have become HOOKED! I'm really late to the game as the show actually finished years ago, but honestly, it's so worth the watch! It's just a really easy going, fun show! It gives you an insight into the world of being a leading actor in Hollywood and there is at least 1 celeb in every episode! Definitely one of those cool shows to stick on when you just want to chill and have a laugh! I highly recommend it!

So, that's it for my June Favourites! I hope you enjoyed them and perhaps intrigued you enough to try some of them out!

Let me know if you enjoyed it and what your favourite things were in the month of June!

Thanks for giving this a ready! See you soon and have a great July!!

Love,

I recently went on a night out during the week for my best friends birthday, and I came to the conclusion that I was definitely too old for that crap. Yes, that's right, at the tender age of 22, I'm throwing in the towel to clubbing on a weeknight.

And it's not because I have a 9-5, Monday to Friday job that would make mid-week clubbing a serious issue, I don't. I work loads of different hours at all times of the day, different days of the week in a bar in Merchant City, Glasgow. So, to be fair, you'd think weeknight partying would be perfect for me. That I would love the draw of the cheap drink, loud music and crazy dancing into the early hours of the morning. And as a student, I did.

However, now I feel it's a completely different story for me.

The weeknight belongs to the student. A carefree person entitled to cheap, crappy drink to help them through the difficulties of student life. And that's fine! £1 drinks are ideal during these times, who wouldn't love that?!

I'll tell you who, GROWN UPS.

Yep, those dreaded folk, the ones that work hard during the week and are willing to pay normal prices for their drinks. Those people that you'd never dream as a student that you could be.

And then BAM! Suddenly, you are one of those grown ups.

You may not have seen it coming, the transition may have been very sneaky, but it takes over at some point and when it happens to you, you'll be as shocked as I was.

Now, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with being a student, or even just enjoying a week night out. I'm not here to judge anybody.
With photographs like this, I could never judge.

In my days as a student/teenager I LOVED going out during the week, it was the best! How could it be THAT cheap?!
Because who doesn't love the bouncers on a night out?! Don't worry, I did know him!

I went through a period where I was out nearly every night(and I still to this day don't know how I afforded it or how I survived it!), and you just think to yourself "never again"... Then, inevitably you would do it to yourself all over again at the next available opportunity, because all of that pain coming your way the next day, it will totally be worth it.
Told you I can't judge

Then comes that special day when you realise, it is totally NOT worth it. And you come to terms with the fact that, indeed, you are too old for it.

I'm not sure if there is an actual age where you are classed as being too old for these kinds of nights out, or how you even define it. I personally think that it's all to do with your mental age and state of mind. I'm not judging anyone for still loving that lifestyle, a lot of my friends still do it.

However, I think the time has come for me to accept that it is totally over.

And I'm not even sad about it.

So, here are the realisations that came to me as I stood in a sweaty nightclub on a Monday night surrounded by these carefree, weeknight partygoers, absolutely hating life...

1. Wow... This club is so freaking busy... And warm, man is it warm in here. There is no way there is air-con in here, I feel like I'm walking through an invisible wall of stranger sweat. Is it also necessary to have to keep touching people and have them touch me?

2. I need to hold on to any part of my friend(Laura), because if I lose her, I'm literally running out of here and into the first taxi home.

3. Well, CLEARLY the ID'ing process in this nightclub is failing, because these people all look about 12, there is no way in hell they are legally allowed to be in here.

4. I am going to need a lot of alcohol to get through this night.

5. Aaaaaannnnd the bar is about 5 deep... Amazing...*resigns self to queueing for 20mins*

6.Finally get to the front of the queue and then some bimbo pushes her way to the front, flashes bar tender a smile, gets served first obviously. Great, a twelve year old who can't be legal to drink has managed to get served before me. Because I am a decent human and I'm not drunk I will not be *THAT customer* and complain, because I know that gets you nowhere.

7. Why do people insist on elbowing you?! Is there really any need?! I'm just standing here, keeping to myself, please remove your elbow from my boob it won't get you served quicker.

8. FINALLY I have been served!!!

9. Oh, they have great options here... I think I'll have the worst vodka known to man and lemonade please, that will make my insides happy...

10. Wait, how much ice did he just put in that?!?! You'll regret that when the ice machine runs out in an hour!

11. Oh god, there is now no room for the lemonade... Where are you going to put the lemonade?!

12. Yep... That's just vodka and ice with a splash of lemonade...

13. Oh god, I forgot just how bad weeknight £1 vodka is... IT BURNS!

14. I'm pretty sure all the guys in here think they are in Las Vegas splashing the cash on ALL th Champagne and Bitchezz, totally "young money", when really, they are in a nightclub in Glasgow paying £1 for gut-rot vodka and disco-winching.

15. *Crazy in Love starts playing*-I realise that all of these people won't even remember this being in the charts... God, am I really that old?! I definitely danced to this at a school disco... and here I am 11 years later, still wishing I were Beyonce.

16. Oh great, someone keeps bashing into us, trying to get into our booth... This will end well.

17. Yep, bunch of steaming people raging because people crashed the party... In normal civilisation, this would be handled by saying "really sorry, but we actually reserved this area so you can't really come in here". Nightclub translation- keep pushing them till they leave... Yep, other drunk people respond well to that.

18. Looking at Laura and both realising that we really can't be dealing with all that drama, let's go to the toilet.

19. Go to toilet, finish business. Go to wash hands, can't find a sink in amongst all the makeup bags and hairspray fog... Why do they need all this already?! They can't have even been here an hour! MOVE SO I CAN WASH MY HANDS IN THE DESIGNATED HAND WASHING FACILITIES. Thank you.

20. Can't face bar again. That was the worst tasting drink ever,I don't think I can do it to myself again.

21. I really wish I could just have a conversation with Laura, but I can't even hear myself think it is so loud in here.

22. Did I just complain about how loud the music is?! Lol, Kayleigh, stop being a granny.

23. Looks at watch, it's 1.30am, yaaayy- we can nearly leave! Surely I'm not the only one to be thinking this... Laura sees my face-she's totally thinking the same as me. Are we both grannies?

24. Let's go get some fresh air and discuss how we are no longer cut out for nightclub life... A few drinks with friends at a bar sounds waaayyy more appealing! As does a seat and food right now...

25. Yep, we are leaving to get food... We'll just wait here until 3am and catch everyone as they leave.

26. Discussions about how we would rather be in our pj's, no makeup on, hair scrapped back watching movies continues...

27. We would also rather go out for a meal or have a few friends round to the house for food, drink and conversation...

28. People were very argumentative in there... And reeaally drunk... And I certainly saw more than kissing happening, who would do that?! I definitely think I'd rather be out on a Saturday with people my own age...

29. And we are in a taxi home, beating the queues because we are wise and know when it's time to leave. The discussion about how these nights are very uncivilised after watching young boys having to be carried by strangers to a taxi whilst their girlfriend cries, carrying her shoes behind him. Yeah, if it weren't my best friends birthday and if she didn't love this, I'd have been in bed hours ago... And I didn't even get drunk...

30. Fuck, I'm too old for this... Yeah, definitely too old for it and definitely surprised by how OK I am with that fact...

31. I'm pretty sure I've just become a grown up. Au Revoir weeknight clubbing! We are over!

32. Can I go to bed now and watch my Gilmore Girls box set and snuggle with my cats and be totally ok with that?! Amazing, I'm doing it anyway!

And this friends, was my thought process on my last ever week night out. Apologies for the length, but I wanted you to really feel my pain with me as my youth rapidly slipped away. And also, thank you if you made it to the end! If you did, I get the feeling you are feeling the same way! At least now you know you aren't alone!

I do want to say though, that I am so glad I went on the night out, it was for my best friends birthday and I wouldn't have missed it for the world! I'm more than happy to go out, especially if it makes her night a little bit better. Just maybe next time we could take a raincheck on the student night... That could be fun :)

I'm not trying to put a downer on it, I promise I can have a good time, this was just a fun post to mark the end of an era.

Let me know what thoughts you have on this subject, let me know I am not alone please!

Love,

We have them!! We finally have them!!
And oh were they worth the wait!

Who hasn't been dying to see the first official pictures of our beautiful little Princess! And to top it off, it wasn't your typical royal portrait. In true Kate and William style, the portrait was so full of love and joy, with that personal touch that they add to everything, Princess Charlotte was presented proudly in the arms of her gorgeous big brother in these stunning first photos!.

To make them even more special, the pictures were taken by their beautiful mother Kate, who is a keen ammatuer photographer, you can just feel the family pride at releasing these first official photographs, giving the world a tiny glimpse into their private little family. With her adorable big brother beaming down at her with such love, these pictures are just too sweet, I genuinely felt my heart explode into sprinkles of glitter and confetti, like seriously... Just look at these!

I would just like to say a big thank you to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for giving us a peek at their beautiful little Princess and for ALL THE CUTENESS IN THE WORLD!!! I wish this little family all the love and happiness in the world and hope they enjoy the privacy that they all deserve during this special time!

Love,
